Meet Chris
 

For more than 25 years, Chris has been helping small to medium-sized businesses and farming families navigate the numbers, plan for the future, and make confident financial decisions.

He sees his role as more than just accounting - it’s about walking alongside families through every season of their business and life journey, celebrating the wins and working through the challenges together.

Away from the desk, Chris swaps spreadsheets for paddocks, enjoying the rhythms of farm life.

A 'once' passionate endurance athlete, he dreams of returning to the triathlon circuit and tackling the Hawaii Ironman for a second time. There’s a lot of training ahead - but Chris thrives on a good challenge!

Meet Mel

Our Executive Manager, Chartered Accountant, and all-round go-to gal.

With over 16 years of experience, she juggles a diverse client portfolio and leads our team with heart, hustle, and a strategic eye.

She’s the engine behind our workflow, culture, and big-picture goals - and she’s just as comfortable mentoring staff as she is managing million-dollar group structures. 

​

Off the clock, Mel’s a hands-on country girl.  She loves family time with her daughter Ruby, working out, renovating, and even firing up the chainsaw.  

Her perfect night? Campfire, country music plus some  Rock 'n' roll, and a starry sky. 

Meet Catherine

Catherine is our behind-the-scenes guru for all things Self Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs).  

​

With over 30 years in the accounting industry (and 20 of those laser-focused on SMSFs), she’s the steady hand steering us through the world of SMSF’s - with compliance that keeps everything ticking like clockwork and strategy work that helps our clients make the most of their retirement goals. 

​

Outside the office, Catherine swaps super strategies for caravans - hitting the road with her husband, and keeping up with her border collie, Poppy (who definitely runs the show)! 

Meet Naomi

​

With over 20 years of experience in public practice, our Accountant and Client Manager knows the ropes - starting at reception and working her way up. 

She’s your go-to for all things Xero and MYOB, and always happy to help with a smile. 

​

Outside of work, she’s busy running after her two boys, exploring new spots in the family caravan, and chasing waterfalls whenever she gets the chance. 

Meet Charles

​

Charles began his accounting career in 2000 at a traditional Chartered Accounting firm in Woodend, back when journals were still written by hand. There he became the office IT guru and an SMSF specialist, preparing and auditing funds. 

Roles as Commercial Finance Manager for a UK manufacturer, in public practice in Ararat, and as Financial Controller for Sonac in Maryborough followed. His favourite chapter came next: five years as Financial Controller for a large broadacre cropping business, living on farm and splitting harvest between the office and the mother bin. 

Charles joined 4P’s in 2026, bringing a rare mix of practice, commercial and on-farm experience to the families we work with. 

Away from the desk, you’ll find him on his mountain bike or at home with his partner Kathryn, their two cats, two horses and one very lucky chook. Together they grow their own fruit and veg, and are slowly reforesting their 70-acre farm, one tree at a time.

Meet Ning

Ning is a passionate accountant and proud Massey Scholar, graduating from Massey University in New Zealand in 2020.

She’s had the chance to work in both New Zealand and Australia, building hands-on experience in business accounting, financial planning, tax, and payroll. Ning enjoys getting to know her clients and helping them feel confident about their finances.

When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her in the garden, curled up with a good book, or off exploring a new destination. 

Meet Shiwani

Shiwani’s professional journey has taken her through a few different corners of the financial world. She started her career in training before moving into insurance and banking in India, and after moving to Australia, found her way into tax and accounting. She is currently working towards her CPA and enjoys the combination of problem-solving, learning and working with people that comes with her role.

Outside of work, Shiwani is a mum to her son and a very proud dog mum to Uzi. She has always enjoyed keeping active and used to be a keen runner. After taking a break from running, she is now getting back into running and gym training, with the long-term goal of taking on more marathons and seeing where running can take her. Her next big challenge is HYROX — because apparently getting back into running and the gym wasn't challenging enough!

Originally from India, Shiwani is proud to call Australia home and loves travelling, spending time with family and friends, and taking on new challenges both personally and professionally.
